About the Run-
Roentgen is the name of a German physicist, Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen, the first person who discovered x-rays. This great person has opened our eyes to witness the importance of having X-rays in the medical field. By using x-rays doctors can easily diagnose the pathology and diseases for further clinical investigation.

The significant reason this run is named after his name is to show appreciation towards his contribution in diagnostic imaging and radiology, and also to increase awareness of public in the radiation dose, cancer education and the early cancer detection.

This programme will be held in Taman Rekreasi Bukit Jalil on 5th December 2015, and will be joined by participants from National University of Malaysia, students from various IPTA and IPTS, and runners from all over Malaysia.

There are three categories offered including male (adult), female (adult) and children. The total distance offered for this run are 8km and 5km. At the end of this run, participants will be given goodie bags as the remark of contribution to this event.

Event Format

  • This is an individual and team of 2 category.
  • Flag off for both categories will be strictly at 6pm on 19th December 2015 and runners to complete the maximum number of loops within 12 hours.
  • Looping will be close wise basis.
  • Team of 2 category can be same gender of different gender and importantly both must be above 16 years old.
  • It will be up to the team to decide which runner going to run how many runner could run 2 loops,followed by the 2nd runners running in the next few loops.
  • In the end,the team who completed the most number of loops will be announced the Champion in team event.
  • You can register as a team with your friend or if you need our help,we could always help you to pair with another runner.
  • At the end of every loops,please remember to remember to the Team stationed at The Check-in station.Failure to report will lead to inaccurate recording and no appeal shall be allowed.

To promote a 'green' environment, we will be adopting a 'Bring Your Own Bottle' practice, where participants are recommended to bring your own bottle/cup which can be re-used for drinks at the Main Support Station. This will reduce cup usage & reduce waste.
There will be space allocated for these BYOB bottles/cups where you may access it whenever you return to the Main Support Station. Your bottles/cups must be marked with your bib number.
Please collect your bottle/cup by 7.00am on Sunday 21 Dec 2014 or it'll be disposed.

Special Needs Bag Drop

You may prepare your own race-essential items in your own self-provided bag & deposit at the Special Needs Bag Drop area at the Main Support Station. These contain items which you think you'll need during the course of the race (this bag is different from your baggage deposit). You can access this whenever you return to the Main Support Station. Your bag (of reasonable size) must be marked with your bib number.
Some items you may wish to keep inside this Bag are:

This event takes place throughout the night & half of the distance every lap is in the trail. Please be aware of the following risks of taking part in such an event:
  • Reduced visibility(Headlight/Torchlight is compulsory)
  • Uneven Terrain in the Trail (Be alert. Watch your steps. Go slow)
  • Reduced alertness/Sleepy (Take a rest. It'™s dangerous to proceed in a dazed/sleepy condition)
  • Dark Environment (wear bright clothes with reflective material, red blinker light at back)
  • Wet/Muddy/Slippery terrain (bring rain jacket/extra socks/shoes, shoes with good grip)
  • Delayed Medical Response Time for the trail segment due to difficult terrain. Evacuation of casualty will take longer time (be careful in the trail, listen to your body's signs, do not over-push, carry first aid/medical supplies)

  10. The organizer would try to accommodate runner’s expectation for running vest / Finisher Tee selection entries.
    1. The Organizer reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these rules and regulations of the Event from time to time as they deem fit. If there is ambiguity in any of the provisions, the Organizer shall be the authority to interpret. Any updates on the rules and regulations of the event will be notified on the official website, and it is the responsibility of the affected participant to keep abreast with any changes.
    2. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Event at any time without prior notice to the Participant. If the Event has to be cancelled, there shall be no refund of fee paid and the Organizer shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.
    3. There will strictly be no fee refund if the event is cancelled for reason of force majeure ie.e due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the Organizer or acts of God which renders it impossible or unsafe to hold the event.

    5. Once registration has been duly processed, there will be no fee refund for participants who do not eventually participate in the Event for whatever reason.
    6. The Organizer reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Event, for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising and distribution to Sponsors anywhere in the world.

Run To Survive 2016 is the very first running event that features a five kilometers fun run that included unexpected zombie's encounters and wild chase, limited-edition race kit and giveaways along the run. Registered runners will receive a custom-made neon T-shirt, unusual heart-shaped medal (upon run completion), light sticks and also the opportunity for a special Zombie make-up by the same professional make-up crews, engaged by Universal Studio Singapore for Halloween and Horror-themed events.
